We are talking about a group of people using a handful of drugs. If you don't know what it is like to have that grip around you then you really shouldn't point the finger. I have loved and lost a lot due to the disease of drug addiction. I myself live with addiction every day of my life wethier I am using or not using. You have to realize that if even if all the signs sad things were wrong, that is not how a junky will necessarily precieve the situation. This goes for the night of River's death and the relationship between John and him. There are always going to be shoulda, coulda, wouldas.... Maybe Johnny Depp should be held accountable for allowing a save place for his friends to use drugs and get away with it... Not that I believe that, but you can keep pointing fingers.... River made his own choices... Everyone has a chance to say no... What we decide to run with is up to us to face future consequences... Good or bad. I could have died more than a few times... I really admire how the artist chose adult shots of River - non-glamorous shots - piercing eyes, a kind of brooding storm underneath the surface - as opposed to the more staged, handsome, "hollywood" shots that are so heavily overused in River art.
